Tim Akers & The Smoking Section are the result of Nashville’s A-List session players coming together to play the music they love to create the unique sound they call “615 Funk” – a combination of 70’s & 80’s funk, soul, and R&B. The 17-piece, high-energy horn band performs the timeless music of Earth, Wind, & Fire, Rufus & Chaka Khan, Tower of Power, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and more! With a collective resume of (literally) THOUSANDS of major recording artists, The Smoking Section will blow you away, so believe us when we say…you won’t want to miss this!

Alison Brown

Alison Brown is not your typical banjo player.

The Harvard graduate, Compass Records co-founder, and GRAMMY Award-winning musician/composer/producer has changed the way we all think about the banjo. By muting the usual harsh overtones and extraneous noises, and instead emphasizing the sweetness and melodicism, Brown has made a name for herself as one of today’s finest progressive banjo players. Her unique approach has completely redefined our understanding and expectation of the complex five-string instrument. As she plays both words and melody, the banjo comes to life in her hands in an entirely new way.

Alison Brown

Alison Brown

She doesn’t play the banjo. Alison Brown plays music on the banjo.

In the instrumental food chain, the five-string banjo is one of the more dominant beasts: loud, brash and very hard to tame. In 1945, Earl Scruggs made the biggest leap in harnessing its raw power, bringing a revolutionary precision of touch and depth of tone. Thousands of three-finger style banjo players have since made their marks, but none has cut such a path or moved so far along it as has Alison Brown.

Audiences can expect an Eaglemaniacs show to be jam-packed with all of the same energy, talent, and timeless music that the powerhouse band brought to the scene in the 70s. This all-star band is made up of some of the music industry’s most successful musicians & session players, all having worked with some of the biggest names in country, pop and rock music! Live “Life in the Fast Lane” and party “All Night Long” with this tribute band that is unlike any you’ve ever seen before!

The Fabulous
Equinox Orchestra

Southern traditions are formed under pressure, seasoned with age, and extravagantly presented at just the right moment. Whether great bottles of bourbon, literary masterpieces like Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, or the coveted green jackets of The Masters; ‘tradition’ status is reserved only for that which is worthy of such a label. Such is the case for The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra. Southern gents Jeremy Davis and Clay Johnson have been collaborating since their adolescent days in junior high – a collaboration that has taken them from the Louisiana bayou to the haunted streets of Savannah, GA, where a new Southern tradition is emerging in spectacular fashion.

Maureen McGovern

Gary Morris

Gary Morris is one of the most accomplished musicians, artists and performers of the last century. He has maintained a successful career in the music industry, as well as on Broadway. As a singer and musician, Morris has recorded twelve albums which spawned sixteen Top 10 and five #1 hit singles. On Broadway, he became the first American actor to be cast as “Jean Valjean” in the hit musical, Les Miserables. Morris is, without a doubt, one of the greatest talents of our time. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this multi-industry dynamo perform live!

Hits & Grins

The Nashville-based trio, Hits & Grins, features two Grammy-nominated songwriters and a Country Radio Broadcast Hall-of-Famer. Steve Dean, Victoria Venier, and Bill Whyte showcase the best that Music City USA has to offer, performing songs that were originally penned for country music royalty like George Strait, Joe Nichols, Ray Stevens, Take Six, Cledus T. Judd, Rodney Atkins, Alabama and many others. Their captivating stories, tight harmonies and passion for music make this one-of-a-kind show a must-see, and will have audiences constantly coming back for more!

Larry’s Country Diner

RFDTV’s highest rated entertainment and variety show is hitting the road! Join diner owner Larry Black and his quirky friends and customers Renae the waitress, Sheriff Jimmy Capps, announcer Keith Bilbrey, and everyone’s favorite church lady, Nadine, for a show that will have audiences doubled over in laughter. Featuring a music legend or two that they picked up along the way, this show is one you will remember for years to come!

The Malpass Brothers

Christopher and Taylor Malpass are a rarity of their generation; the sincerity, honesty and utter ease with which they perform belies their years. The combination of smooth vocal blend, skillful musicianship, and off-the-cuff quips between the two 20-something year old siblings is reminiscent of the country music legends to which they pay tribute. Having toured and performed with the likes of Don Helms and Merle Haggard, these two young legends-in-training have already garnered credentials that would surpass most working artists on Music Row today. The Malpass Brothers are a welcome blast-from-the-past, giving new life to the classic country style we feared was gone forever!

Maureen McGovern

Maureen McGovern

Known as “The Stradivarius Voice,” Multi-Grammy nominee, film and Broadway star, Maureen McGovern, continues to thrill audiences with a voice that defies categorization. McGovern’s career includes more than 45 years of recordings, concerts, theater, film, television, radio and songwriting. She is best known for her recordings of movie theme songs such as Poseidon Adventure, Towering Inferno, and Superman. Those chart-topping pop tunes gained Maureen a loyal following, but it was her 1989 live recording of “Naughty Baby” that made her a national treasure. The recording of Gershwin tunes had the critics on their feet, remarking, “…McGovern can sing Gershwin like Joan Sutherland can sing Donizetti.” -Clive Barnes, The New York Post

Next Generation Leahy

Building on over three generations of musicianship, Doug and Jennifer Leahy, and their six children, are keeping the Leahy tradition alive through music, song, and dance. Doug, a member of the Canadian Celtic group Leahy, and Jennifer both understand the joy and exhilaration only music can provide. It is no surprise, then, that their children inherited that same understanding and passion for music. Born into the show biz, the Leahy children feel the music pulsing through their veins. From the youngest to the oldest, they are not only successfully upholding, but contributing to, the Leahy legacy created by the generations that preceded them.

Rodeo & Juliet

Rodeo and Juliet cannot be confined to just one category. While they might find their home mostly in American Roots, the unique sound that they have achieved is the culmination of both their musical influences and their life experiences. The singing soulmates meet each other somewhere between Judy Garland’s “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, & Marty Robbins “El Paso”, where a love worthy of a country song has taken root.

Steve Wariner
