LAUREN JELENCOVICH is part of The Recording Academy's New Member Class of 2023 and currently on tour with Yanni as his featured vocalist, performing to sold out venues all over the world such as Radio City Music Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheater and Royal Albert Hall. She can be seen on his PBS Specials/DVDs and CDs. Lauren is featured on Yanni's album, Inspirato, singing the song Usignolo (Nightingale) alongside Plácido Domingo and Renèe Fleming. Lauren is a Grand Prize winner of Ed McMahon’s Star Search and Andrea Bocelli’s World Scholarship. Featured in People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People and Teen Magazine, Lauren has garnered great acclaim for her affecting portrayals of opera and musical theater roles throughout the world. Most recently, she had the extreme honor of working with the legendary Dolly Parton for her Netflix movie musical pitch of “Christmas on the Square” as well as being cast in the first table read of the 2025 Broadway bound musical based on Dolly’s life. Lauren and her sparkling soprano voice impart her love and passion for all genres of music to thrill audiences of all ages. Lauren was the first woman in recent history to sing on stage in Saudi Arabia for a mixed audience of men and women, a moment both she and Yanni recall as one of the most moving experiences on stage.
Ms. Jelencovich made her debut Off-Broadway in the world premiere of The Music Teacher by Wallace & Allen Shawn, Highlights of past seasons include her debut at Carnegie Hall, a debut with the Owensboro Symphony, and her debut at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis in A Little Night Music, directed by Isaac Mizrahi. She earned critical accolades for her portrayal of Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi and Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica at Opera Tampa, under the baton of Anton Coppola. Other credits include the Queen of the Night and Papagena in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Sophie in Werther, and record-breaking attendance of over 20,000 people for a performance of “Broadway Sinfonico” with Mauricio Martinez at the famed Festival de Santa Lucia in Monterrey, Mexico.
Lauren is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and pursued further studies with William Esper at the William Esper Acting Studio. She is known for her effortless high notes and excels in the classical crossover world. Audiences are captivated not only by her voice, but also her authenticity and hilarious stories of her travels and life. She has a fan base of over 130k throughout her social media platforms, over 4.8 million streams on Spotify and Apple, as well as over 1 million views on YouTube.
