Tim Akers & The Smoking Section

The Smoking Section will blow you away…

Tim Akers & The Smoking Section are the result of Nashville’s A-List session players coming together to play the music they love to create the one-of-a-kind sound they call “615 Funk” – a combination of 70’s & 80’s funk, soul, and R&B. They are a 17-piece, high-energy horn band that performs the timeless music of Earth, Wind, & Fire, Rufus & Chaka Khan, Tower of Power, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and more! The level of precision this all-star band offers is one that you won’t hear anywhere else. With a collective resume of (literally) THOUSANDS of major recording artists, The Smoking Section will blow you away!
